When you wake up in the morning, Mars will be there, eagerly running over for a pat, purring like a little engine. He adores back scratches and loves being picked up for cuddles-unless he's in play mode, of course. Always curious and engaged, Mars often sleeps beside you on the table if there's a cozy blanket nearby, or curls up on your lap when you're working at the computer. Because of his affectionate nature, he thrives in a home where someone is often around-perhaps a work-from-home environment would be ideal. A few important things to keep in mind: Mars is full of energy and has a playful side. You'll need to have plenty of toys available to distract him when he decides that hands or feet are the perfect targets for a game. It's important to reinforce the idea that hands are for petting, while toys are for playing, to avoid any confusion. *Mars also has a special bond with his sister, Venus. If you're open to the idea, consider making your home a two-cat household-they enjoy playing together until they're both worn out, then happily curl up and nap side by side *
